Research Facilities are located in the west wings of the second and third floors of the Medical Sciences Building:

  1. Molecular Biology & Protein Science Facility
  2. Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Facility
  3. Office of Patient-Based Studies
  4. Common Equipment
  5. Animal Resource Program

There are also numerous additional Institutional Facilities available to researchers at both the Penn State Hershey campus and Rhode Island Hospital CoBRE Center.

Research Resources’ Facilities are not affiliated with specific departments, but has a diverse steering committee which helps staff members develop policies and strategic direction. Research Facilities are accessible to all investigators at Geisinger Commonwealth and research partners at subsidized fee levels, as well as to researchers outside of Geisinger Commonwealth at fee levels equal to full costs of analyses.

Research Facilities technology or assistance is available through on-line scheduling; however, walk-ins are welcome. The staff will provide assistance as time permits, and will do their best to help with your research needs. Please contact facility staff by email or use the on-line scheduling portal to arrange appointments for technology use, training, consultations and sample drop-off.
